Here's what's happening this week:
• A cooking demonstration throughout the market featuring pasture-raised pork from Rocky Knolls Farm and organic chicken from Bumbleberry Farms. Be sure to stop by for cooking tips and delicious samples while supplies last! Market Friend Brad McNeese will be turning up the heat to bring you the best meat the market has to offer!
• An Independence Day-themed activity for children at the Market Info Table. While you’re at our table, be sure to pick up an American Flag sticker, and then mosey on over to our 250th American Birthday photo booth area to snap some pictures!
• Eat the Rainbow continues to grow! We have loved welcoming so many new families to the program this season. Kids can stop by the Market Info Table to receive their (FREE) $5 in Rainbow Bucks to be used with our produce vendors to discover colorful, healthy fruits and vegetables from our local farmers.
• Don't forget that we proudly accept SNAP/EBT and participate in the Double Up Food Bucks program. SNAP customers can receive a dollar-for-dollar match (up to the program limit) to purchase eligible fresh fruits and vegetables, making healthy, locally grown food even more affordable for families in our community.

We’re thrilled to continue Eat the Rainbow, a fun, hands-on nutrition and produce program just for kids—designed to inspire healthy habits, adventurous eating, and community connection!
Each Saturday through the season, children who visit the market will receive:
🍎 A $5 produce voucher to spend on fresh fruits and veggies from our amazing local farmers
📖 A colorful Eat the Rainbow Passport packed with fun challenges, food facts, and a spot to track their market adventures
🎨 Weekly activities that encourage kids to taste new foods and learn how fruits and vegetables grow
This program helps kids explore where their food comes from in a fun, engaging way—while helping families stretch their food dollars and support local growers. Let’s grow healthy habits together—one color at a time!
🛒 SNAP/EBT Accepted- DOUBLE UP FOOD BUCKS
We proudly accept SNAP/EBT at the market, and this year we’ll be offering Double Up Food Bucks—so you can stretch your dollars and take home even more fresh, local goodness. This means that for every dollar you spend on eligible produce using your EBT card, you receive an additional dollar to spend on fruits and vegetables, effectively doubling your purchasing power. We believe everyone should have access to fresh food, and we’re so glad to be a part of making that happen. Stop by the info booth information about eligible food items from any participating vendor.
